US Judge Dismisses Justin Baldoni’s £295m Defamation Lawsuit Against Blake Lively
A U.S. judge has dismissed actor-director Justin Baldoni’s £295 million defamation countersuit against Blake Lively over harassment allegations on the set of It Ends With Us. The court ruled that Lively’s statements were legally protected and did not constitute defamation or extortion. Baldoni’s parallel suit against The New York Times was also thrown out. Lively called the verdict a “complete vindication” and vowed to support other women who face retaliation for speaking up.
